About

Documentaries, PSA’s, campaign videos, podcasts, news segments - It’s all storytelling. There’s plenty of content online, on big screens or small screens, TV or radio and through various platforms. What we strive to do is to tell stories that matter. To highlight issues that are often overlooked and to start conversations. And sometimes we collaborate to help other people tell their stories.

Little Light Pictures is focused on creating content that does good. Whether it’s a campaign video, a feature length documentary or a podcast, our mission has always been to make an impact and shine a “Little Light” on issues that matter. Little Light directs, produces and collaborates on multiple non-fiction projects at any given time.

Little Light Pictures was developed as a production company in 2020 by Megan Sperry, a documentary filmmaker, educator & advocate. After 20+ years of working in media production and education, Sperry thought it was time to create a company that could bring all of her passions and projects together. AND, it was a great excuse to collaborate with some of her favorite media producers who hold similar values.

At Little Light Pictures, we employ sustainable filmmaking practices by conserving energy as much as possible, carpooling or taking public transportation, recycling or upcycling hardware and turning off equipment when not in use. We advocate for social change and use the UNESCO Sustainability goals as a foundation for our storytelling. We source locally, support small businesses and give back to our community whenever possible.
